Soooo i haven't posted anything for real in a while. I decided even tho this isn't done im just gonna post it and work on it from there.

Jacob, the favored one,
relishes in stolen blessings,
for the eldest gets the right hand
of the father.
"Not so",
says Elohim,
"Jacob have I loved"
(yes, the swindler
He loves)
"but Esau have I hated"
I am he,
the scorned.
deserving rights of the firstborn
yet I fight for what's lawfully mine
"Hear, O Israel"
The overheard words, they echo,
reverberate in my soul.
I am Edom
the ignored.
the one who takes up the sword
as I build a nation of my own.

write.when you say there's nothing to write about, or when you just don't wanna hear what you havta say.write.when the page glares at you, stares at you like the whites of your eyes when you look in the mirror.write.when reflection is more than you can bear avoiding introspection because to face that face is like pouring antiseptic on a wound. write when it stings. write when it burns. regurgitate the bile until there's nothing left. and then the healing begins. learn that as long as you deny, and hide, and close your eyes. you will never progress. so yes, note to self. write.
What's the point
Why am I doing this? What is this page all about? Plain and simple, this is an outlet for self-expression...I feel like writing, but I'm tired of making all these random text files on my computer. With that said, the content of this blog is ME up-close and personal, in your face. I'll be writing poems, songs, short stories, vent-sessions, whatever I feel like at the moment . If you like it, that's cool; if not, well that's cool too. I'm just trying not to bottle up this creative potential inside of me.
As for the name, "Empirically Lyrical," i kind of named it that just because it sounds good and it makes you think....my main point is that these poems and random writing are based on my observations and the way I feel about life. Anyway, so read on and maybe you'll get a glimpse of what I'm trying to say
